The Collingwood Hotel Fishing Club can trace its origins back as far as 1981, to humble beginnings based around a table with friends enjoying a quiet schooner. What started as a few mates talking quickly snowballed and club membership grew to more than 20 members. The club’s first president was Fred Tonkies who held the position until 1995. During that time he was assisted by Bob White, Ray Wynter, Ray Ewan and Victor Barry. The current club president is Mick Cook, who has held the
position since 1995. Currently membership stands at 22 including 10 life members.
